Wietse Vaes

PhD Candidate in Applied Mathematics

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Tom Trogdon and Prof. Heather Wilber.

My research focuses on discretising solution operators of PDEs — in particular the wave equation, the Helmholtz equation, and time-evolution IBVPs via the Unified Transform Method.
